Ceylon papers, 1795-1796.

Carbons of typescript--papers from 1795 deal with the capitulations of Trincomale, Fort Ostenburgh, Jaffanapatnam, Manar and Colombo. Chief correspondents were Lord Hobart, Major Agnew and Governor Van Angelbeck. Correspondence subsequent to that date was chiefly between the commercial residents in Ceylon and the Council at Fort St. George relating to revenue and rents and to the cinnamon industry.
